Kevin Grenfell and his Jazz Giants were back playing for OJC by popular demand!

The evening was filled to the brim with good music and humour.  It started with Kevin singing ‘Love was made for me and you’ and accompanied by actions and clapping from the whole audience.  The sound was fantastic, and it really got the evening off to a great start.  We were then further entertained with jokes and anecdotes, interspersed by fabulous jazz numbers including renditions of ‘Girl of my Dreams I love you’, ‘Bossa Nova Beats’, ‘Hello Dolly’ and ‘Shake Rattle & Roll’, to name just a few.   Jeremy Huggett, superb on saxophone and clarinet, gave us extra value by bringing many marvellous songs alive with his smooth tenor voice.  His fellow musicians were:  pianist James Clemas, double bassist Graham Hughes, and drummer Jules Aldridge (known as Baby Jules), all led superbly by Kevin Grenfell on trombone and trumpet.  Duets were sung, they all joined in the choruses, played wonderfully together, and we in the audience just loved it!
